Going on a cruise with Martin and some 'chicks' Member 362, 137 posts SQ 120, BP 75, DL 155350.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | I know a fair few on here are local so im wondering if anyone else has heard of soft mick and his comings and goings, for years ive heard this phrase used at my nans and at home from time to time i.e. ive got more socks than soft mick shes got more luck than soft mick hes got more cars than soft mick. also if anyone has ever met the chap? at the rugby on saturday it was proposed that he was a bloke from leigh. Used to be one of my late dads common sayings along with Pat, as in "You've got that off Pat" (You're quite good at that) and "You're a bigger jew than Jed Cohen" (You stingy t**t) although not sure if a lot of places would tolerate the last one nowadays. | ||

Unless it's one of those things we all start saying when we turn 60... I wonder if the phrase "taking the Mick" refers to the same guy. | ||
