I don't remember you offering any constructive advice whatsoever. Imagine someone like Dymas asking his coach for some solid squatting advice only to be told a curt 'oh just go up and down. There's nothing to it. And if that doesn't work. Go down the pub'.
I cant imagine that. Someone like Dymas wouldnt ask much at all. They would just get on with it. The constructive advice was maybe a little bit too layman to be obvious, as mirrored by young Clegg. Would he think about where the pressure should be on his feet during a squat? No more than I would, or 'not at all'
What you're discussing is very basic and (IMO) not to be taught via the internet blindly. At the stage you describe advice would be to get some one on one coaching to gain a sound technique.

Can we have some chicks now lads FFS?Unhappy

It certainly seems to take the focus off my quads as I get virtually no DOMS on quads aftwerwards. Thanks for the input btw.

I was going to post the exact same thing but thought better of it. And mine wouldn't include chicks.
So here's one for you Andy!

Thanks for clearing that up. It's nice to know a genuine and heartfelt enquiry into squatting technique gets poo pooh'ed as 'pretty basic' by some other members, and asked to be substituted with images of naked women.

And I take it you enver bothered with weighlifting shoes either - as this would mean you've given your posture some 'thought'.

I believe Little_a has already answered the question regarding narrow stance squat posture. Have you tried using high heels?

Ah, IPF-wide, whilst wide by weightlifting standards is not that wide by general powerlifting standards.

Trying both a weightlifting shoe and a pair of Chucks to see which suits you better would be my suggestion.

It isnt poo pooh'ed, but it is basic. The advice to get some one on one hands on coaching is as good as you'll get on here. If having this pointed out causes a dent to your ego thats more a reflection on you than the advice given. Back away from the roid rage type responses fella and chill out.

Why do you take that? Still jumping into an arguement that doesnt exist eh? I do pretty much everything in WL shoes, but that suits what I do.
Did I ever think about posture? No, I had a coach do that for me. Always saw me right, which is the advice I'm passing on. If you'd calm down long enough to focus one the screen you'd see that maybe.

I'm as chilled as a cucumber mate. I don't take 'roids' either.
