I used to get shoulder probs with bench, there was more to it than that, and ended up with surgery. Anyway, wide grip bench hurt it, and I always benched wide.

Learned to bench narrower and tuck elbows in, seel stronger and it doesn't trouble shoulder at all

its funny you say thaty davy ive always been a notoriously narrow bencher, when competing my arms are verticle and almost on the smooth and i always done well on the bench. i decided to wide'n my grip as most P.L have a shorter R.O.M than me so thought id give it a try and see if it would increase my bench but i noticed slight niggles in my shoulder so back to narrow it is??

Narrow works for you mate, you have always had a good bench. I think wide puts a lot of strain on the front of the shoulder. I would be surprised if there was not a connection.

I actually feel stronger narrow and am going to stick with that. Its about the same as my Push Press grip, so hopefully will help with OH carryover

Nice random workout! I had a quick, bit of everything sesh myself today as well.

Up for a proper, heavy type one on Sunday them? If im feeling fitter tho, feeling a lot o aches n pains at the mo. Unhappy
