Deadlifts
Managed to deadlift relatively pain free
Did 8x1 140kg
4x1 160kg
4x1 180kg

180kg wasn't quick and could feel a pull but not much pain
Hopefully next week 200kg will be ok then by comp back to my best!

90kg (comp weight) x3 only to get a feel of the lighter weight

Couldn't do farmers as felt back on pick up.
It is getting better but its getting me down as felt really good until I pulled it and fancied my chances.

Managed to pull 200kg with no pain. So injury is getting better but it was a slow rep and wanted 10+ reps comp day in three weeks not sure ill hit that now.

Clean each rep 2x5
Did comp weight both sets to get a feel of it for reps and managed 1st set of 5 in 31 secs.
Happy with todays session axle moving very nicely. Double figure at would be nice Happy

So managed to clear my garage out eventually! As I live next door to my grandma I stored all my kit in her garage but it was not ideal as her garage door was broke so we had to go threw her porch with all the kit and just was horrible.
So here is my new home set up.

I would like 4 more 20s ideally and some squat stands as my yoke can only hold 200 on the arms.
Got some beer kegs coming and will eventually get some sandbags and a couple of stones!
Got some off cuts of gym flooring aswell so will have something to deadlift off!

Farmers

Had physio today and has helped massively. Problem is now stemming from hip and glute so they have been freed up massively today.

Warmed up with some deads. Worked up to 190kg

Then 5 runs of farmers with comp weight all easy which is good as been struggling to pick it up with back and hips recently!

Deadlifts
Still struggling with deadlifts worked up to a couple of singles at 200kg which is comp weight and could feel the glute pulling. Wanted 10-12 reps at comp but no chance now with 13 days to go :-(
Did a set of 4 at 180kg which should be speed work!

Anyway just want this comp over with now so I can focus on rehab and planning for next one.

Physio again today so hopefully will help some more!

Got some flooring for my garage now so it looks spot on now!

Week 11 day 2

Axle work in the sun.

1 clean presses from chest.
Set 1. 115kgx4
Set 2. 120kgx3
Set 3. 125kgx1
set 4. 130kg fail. Cleaned it which is a pb but then had no energy at all but happy I cleaned it.

2 sets at comp weight floor to overhead for 5 reps. Very fast 5 reps and the first set was very clean so happy with that as I want the event win.
Last heavy axle session. Really happy with the progression on this. Cleans are getting better and my confidence is getting better on the presses now.
Had physio after.
Rest day today and yoga later. 11 days to go.

Warmed up with deads
200kg double (pb post injury)
Pain free aswell was slow tho so needn't to try get my speed back in for comp next week!

Then a practice run of comp distance and weight
First 15m was very good
Second was a shot pick up but managed to save it.

Feeling a bit more confident now and injury seems to be subsiding. Gutted I've missed 6 weeks of squats and deadlift training tho

first squats in 7 weeks and felt horrible
