cant be too many people who can do that, really impressive .I'm no expert but he did'nt look like he had a massive arch or use much leg drive either, more like how a bodybuilder would bench!

I agree, the whole thing has a very un-natural look to it. he rotates the bar a couple of times before he lifts it, I don't recall that being so easy with 2/3rds of that weight.

I don't think it's fake. It's well known that he can power clean Jonathon Edwards.

OK, these comment made me wonder if they could be fake, given that he handles it so comfortably. I had never heard of him, so I had a quick google. He's a 39 year old lifter who seems to have retired from powerlifting very early, though there are various people trying to get him to make a comeback. According to the USAPL site, his collegiate bench press record of 552lbs in the USAPL still stands (as of June 2008). His national teen deadlift and squat record stood for 16-17 years (1987-2004)

He is interviewed about those lifts on the criticalbench site and the video also pops up on powerliftingwatch. He demonstrates similar strength in other vids on youtube(which admittedly doesn't prove anything on its own). Lastly, he seems well known to other powerlifters, like "the Sheiko guy", Eric Talment, who emailed him to join in the discussion on powerlifting watch.

I must admit it does look a bit too "dead" I've passed out those kind of weights on a proper bar countless times and that looked odd The outer plates have no markings on them either.

The outer plates are just facing in. That's what they do in American gyms.

It does look ridiculously easy though!
