I power squat, I don't hold the bar particularly low but I'm quite short so I don't have much of a lever for it to affect.
Just below the upper traps, just above the rear delts.

I don't see the point of Olympic squats really, provided one can front squat effectively and generate sufficient force in the clean and snatch then a maximal back squat movement is superior for a more all round performance in my view.

If I was a pure weightlifter I would think differently though as it is pretty specific to the sport.

I'm finding this by far the most interesting log on SBB for some time. Great work. Reminds me of some of mine, but better. Keep it up MrT mate. This has the makings of a classic.

300 x 5 - very hard today.

Heavy Bench

200 x 5 x 3 sets - quite comfortable today, happy with that.

Deadlift

330 x 2 - Wall located, struck and flattened me

No training today, just waiting for my son to finish throwing around his mash then we are off out to a zoo.

MasterT, I am in awe of your numbers, have enjoyed your contributions to other threads and will follow your log to see what information I can glean that will help me along my own way.... but it certainly seems a shame you cannot share any vids too as that is also part of the attraction of the training logs - to actually see technique and learn from it rather than only the layout and philosophy of a training method or programme.

Completed with BWLA as a Jnr lifter when I still had hair.
Have competed in the US during a stint of work there but most lifting has been in the southern provinces of Aus.

335 for a single isn't bad either, 40 kilos over the British record for a 105 unequipped lifter, a 232 bench is 50 kilos over and a 375 pull is 60 over. Quite, quite superb.
