Cracking vid Hixxy!

Do you rate those Rehband sleeves over the Hercules single ply ones from Strength shop? Also, do you press with a thumb less grip too? Does it help with the heavier weights?

I like both the sleeves mate. Only reason i wear them more is tendonitus in my right arm. Rehbands tend to be warmer so get worn more.

Pressing thumbless helps if flexibility isnt great. If i use thumbs it puts more strain on my bad shoulder so just got use to doing it thumbless.

Thanks for the reply, I'm really trying to increase my log pressing so any little tips and advice is welcome.

I've got a pair of rehband elbow sleeves but they're the model down from yours, but will order some single ply ones too in the hope that I get some carry over in the press.

Thanks Hixxy, most appreciated.

i wouldnt obsess with thinknig any sleeve gives any carry over. I quite often train without if my elbow is ok.

I thought that that the higher the ply, the stiffer the sleeve and the greater the carry over?

I was going to buy some triple ply odins from strength shop but was told that they are banned in my upcoming comp. Where as single and double ply were ok.

Do I just need to man up and forget sleeves, or can they add a few kg's to make a difference?

more plys you have - decreaes flexibility and makes cleaning the implements harder. Especially for reps makes them an awful investment IMO
