It's very early and I can't figure out if it's a good price, how long it will last me and if it will make me massive. Someone tell me what to do.

you can get 5kg of chicken fillets for £25 from musclemeat I think. Then you have to cook them obviously. Is it worth the extra just to have them pre-cooked?

How much weight is usually lost in cooking?

as I said, if your a lazy pecker, buy em, if u watch the pennies and don't mind cooking em and all that, then buy from a butcher etc, its just convenience reason I buy em tbh, works out at about £18 a week for 3 fillets a day in reality...if someone is on the go all the time then they are perfect, can just as easy cook em up few days before or get the missus to do it but that takes effort lol

prob i have shane is we buy 10kg chicken at £35 dont we.
youd pay double that to buy cooked versions of the same thing.......

I do think its a good idea though. cooking and prepping food is always a problem for ppl and if they can save time they probably will

I once saw one of these. I picked it up and brought it home, and within a few hours it was running about and seemed ok but couldn't fly. Then a few days later it had some sort of weird seizure out of nowhere and then it died.

This is the very magpie.

hmmm. Feel a bit bad now Tom. As I drove towards said injured magpie, which was surrounded by 'helper' magpies (maybe family members?) they walked off at the last moment to reveal poor old injured Mary lying, helpless, struggling. I made sure my wheels didn't crush it as I drove over it, although did wonder if putting it out of it's misery would have been the kindest option?

No, I think the kindest option would be bringing it home and feeding it and letting it be comfortable for a while until it either recovers and can fly away or dies.

When mine died, I decided to throw it out of my appartments balcony doors into the canal, 3 floors below.

The canal was a fair toss away, 10-15m of horizontal displacement. It felt a little undignified to throw it that far, so I just dropped it instead aiming for a bush.

It landed on a picnic table in the garden of one of the residents on the bottom floor, and stayed there for 3 days.
