For squats I find it gives me confidence in unracking the weight etc myself with a weight in the 80% + range multiple times. The time limit adds a bit of intensity and keeps me focused. Seems to be working at the moment so gonna stick with it and then may revise. Im still waaaaaaayyy off where I want to be though! Im jealous of your deadlifts btw! Nice one, yes multiple singles/doubles and triples were fantastic for me, great for confidence! Be interesting to see how they help you mate. Haha im 6"4 so squatting is a nightmare - im starting to feel ive nailed it with this style of training though, expecting to put 10-20kg on my PB soon . Just saw you hit a PB congrats - pretty sure it will start to fly up now. | ||

Member 5584, 304 posts SQ 225, BP 157.5, DL 260642.5 kgs @ 103kgs UnEq | 15/02 Hungover barely eaten and got in at 3am. managed to have the following s**t session squats 170x1 180x1 - Beltless PB I guess 190x1 - Belt on 200x1 - should have done 2 but my "spotter" stood so close I grinded his crotch on the decent and decided this wasn't going to work 180x1 - nearly lost bar over head - not in good shape as was going for 6 170x8 - PB could have done more ahd ai been in better condition Bench 130x2 140x2 145x2 - s**t s**t s**t s**t session but a saving grace if any was I still had some very minor sort of PBs and its good for me that a s**t session still includes me hitting my comp max squat - although I was aiming for 2 | ||
