First Raw Push/Pull

Im doing my first raw apprerance on the platform in 8 weeks time.

Ill log on here so I can Look back on my progress. Im 2 weeks in to prep so ill quickly breakdown whats been going on and then log regularly from there.

Bench has been progressing nicely last week i did 135x5x3 and deadlift i did 250x2x2 they felt nice and smooth wouldnt classify them as fast tho.

Ive been doing alot of deficit work on deadlifts to work on the areas made weak thru lifting in kit and on bench every single rep is paused.

First thing ive noticed from training raw is the amount of quality mass ive put on. First time in a while i actually look like a lifter!

Bench on monday was

140x5x3 all paused did an extra rep on the last set as a french man was shouting at me and with all the brexit drama going on lately it felt prudent to deliever.

Tonnes of tricep work and a f**k load of incline dumbells flies etc etc

Deadlifting on friday so will update then

Great start I'm really interested in how this pans out,have you any target weights in mind ?

I will keep this updated regularly mate.

I want to get a 180 bench and a 300 deadlift.
Both will require alot of work but i genuinely believe both are achieveable too.

Deadlift.

Warmed up to 220kg and did 5 sets of 3 each rep started reset as if 1 rep only.

Only a light weight admitadly but its still fairly early in the program and will no doubt start getting heavy and fast!

Finished off with some abductor work and leg extensions.

Pretty bad session last night the plan was 145 for 5x3 but didnt make it thru it had a pretty bad pain go thru my bicep and stopped it there dosent hurt this morning so im assuming a bit of tendonitus?

sounds similar to me last night - a sharp pain in the pec/bicep tendon region, stopped flat benching and was able to continue doing slingshots and banded close grips to a reasonable weight. today is no soreness unless i flex or stretch the area (and then nothing worse than normal DOMS). i'd stay away from competition style benching for a week and see how it feels.

Thanks mate i think i will. Post training there wasnt much pain there just a very odd feeling that didnt feel as it should...
