This is the Official Event page for the England's / UK's Strongest Man 2010 Southern Qualifier. As you can see it is a double header so achieving a top placing qualifies you for both The England and the UK finals. This qualifier is to be held at: Strength-Tec Unit 6, Lysses Court, High Street, Fareham, Hampshire. PO16 7BE. All competitors will be required at the location at 10am prompt to sign in and for a rules and regulations meeting. The event will begin at 11am. There are places for 12 competitors, so if you intend to compete I suggest you get in touch with me asap for your application form. This can be requested through my personal e-mail: ian.riggs71@googlemail.com I will e-mail you the form by return. You will then need to download and print your completed form and return it by post to Strength-Tec at the above address including your £15 non-refundable entrance fee. (Cheques can be made payable to Strength-Tec) All competitors will receive an event T-shirt on the day. There will be various prizes for the individual events and Trophies and prizes for the top 4 placings. We are still awaiting confirmation on how many places will go into the finals, but as soon as I know I will post it here and send you all a message to let you know. And now for the Competition events... 1: Log Clean and Press. Last Man Standing. 120Kg Starting weight. 2: Deadlift. Last Man Standing. Normal Olympic Bar. 240 Kg starting weight. Single ply suits are allowed and wrist lifting straps. 3: Medley. Duck Walk 200 Kg for 15 Metres. Wheelbarrow 300Kg for 15 Metres. 75 seconds Time Limit. 4: Viking Press. 140Kg for Reps. 60 Seconds Time Limit. 5: Super Yoke. 380 Kg. 15 Metres, drop turn, 15 Metres. 60 Seconds Time Limit. 6: Leg Squat Frame. 280Kg for Reps. 60 Seconds Time Limit. How does it qualify you for the UKs? Surely the Engaland's qualifies you for the UKs? Or does it mean qualifies you for both the UKs affiliated ESM & the BSM affiliated ESM?

Anyone know if this the same at the other regionals? i think thats bollox, there are more than 12 places if people want them, i think its just to get guys to getentrys in sooner rather than later as far as rob understands it, englands have nothing to do with uk's this year, so it qualifies you for bobby's englands, and another uksm qualifier and/or top 2 go straight through to uk's

Just to clarify, Bobby's ESM is Bob Dagleish/Elite's ESM? And the top two automatically go to Glen Ross's UKs Finals? Cheers.
