I'm massively sorry for posting what I know must have been asked a million times before... but it's hard to search on this forum!

To improve your hook grip double over hand deadlift strength, is it best to stand with a good amount of weight from pins for 10 seconds at a time for example?

Interested in what works.

Thanks in advance!

This plus hook grip holds for 30s or so, for 1-2 weeks then no problem using it for working sets after that.

Would a static hold with just a natural/classic grip improve actual grip strength more?

I'm past the pain stage and can deal with the 'are my thumbs still there' tingling sensation.

I have found the euro pinch apparatus to be the biggest grip strength builder for me and an alternative to this would be plate pinches.

Use a thicker bar, over the years I've used a 34 mm bar not knowing most comp bars are 27-30 mm for deadlift. Years of using a stiff 34mm I now have no grip issues what so ever using a Texas power bar and rep ping weights over 20 kg over my former pb (whilst using the 34 bar).

I dont have access to an oversized bar or euro pincher

What if I put these on a regular bar and did a static hold, im sure that would be quite taxing with a moderate weight?

They do 1.5s.....

How do you chalk up? I find going over the thumb (just above the nail) and around the ring and middle fingers helps massively. Grip hasn't given out on anything yet.

Hangs for time also tax grip nicely.
