Not really, if you break the bench press down into movements:
Extension Of Arm is TRICEPS
Shoulder Flexion is ANTERIOR DELT & PEC MAJOR
Medial Rotation Of Humerus - ANTERIOR DELT AND PEC MAJOR
Lower Body Stabalisers
Upper Body Stabalisers - Mainly the mid back area
So whilst without biceps benching would be very hard LOL, they don't really take an active roll.

Without wanting to contradict you - the biceps are involved in flexion, just as the triceps are involved in extension of the shoulder.

Didn't say they weren't involved, said it would be very hard to do it without them but they aren't as involved as people think. The context of conversation was ref by bicep after surgery, rehab etc.

Yeah, obviously not a major role, but for people with biceps tears it is worth knowing that they do play a part in pressing weights which could impact on recovery etc.

Good looking session today.

I competed in 105s when I first started I do opens now. I'm dropping fat at the moment which happens quicker than putting on lean muscle tissue, hence the weight loss. I want to sit at about 125 with 10 - 11% bf. I'm a PT and have got a point to prove this year that you don't have to be fat to be strong. Yes extr weight helps on pulls and squats etc but ultimately hinders you on rep and loading events. So points I lose on those I'll more than make up on others. Mariuz, who I'm not comparing myself to by the way lol, looked mint, was not amazing at any one event but won. Even bill kazmier looked good back then, so it's possible.

Still no sign of my new daughter yet, late just like her mother always is. Had a stressful day as a lorry took out the back of my car and drove off, found his depot and he denied doing, so spent a good 1.5 hrs arguing the toss with him and managed not to break his jaw, which I'm proud off. However, came to the gym and was mentally drained from it all, still had a good one though. so can't grumble.
