Member 5243, 63 posts SQ 250, BP 170, DL 260680.0 kgs @ 130kgs UnEq | Yeah I meant strongman. I'm competing in the BDFPA Scottish champs in Glasgow on the 5th December. Should meet the qualifying total for the British so that will govern what I actually do in strongman next year and will likely focus on peaking for the British. I had consider throwing myself into events sessions for the Scottish Opens Qualifier but I think I still need a bit more static strength to be anywhere near the level required. So powerlifting takes priority for now. It would be good to get a strongman comp or two in next year though.

It is one of the less static oriented ones I've seen and given that you've got a good overhead you'd probably manage at least a rep in the log. You will get far more from doing the qualifier and struggling with a couple of events than you will winning a novice comp in my opinion.
