Trained on Friday but basically did a bunch of pressing. Today was like hell on earth, in a good way.

Sunday:

Snatch from blocks (just below hip crease)

Clean from Blocks (mid thigh)

Jerks

Jerk dips

This took a while. There was zero pull height from any of the blocks we did today, so it was literally a case of dropping under, which is good because I need to work on this but bugger me, its a head-wreck doing them from that height. Jerks feel off at the minute. One of my issues is that I don't finish (in before Andy even thinks about it in!Grin) on either pulls or dip and drives, so while I am keeping it light this is something I am trying to work on.

Will try to get some videos this week to see how I am looking.

My legs have been jelly for the rest of the day Andy. Got home and basically spent a good portion of the afternoon passing and in out of consciousness on the garden. Doing a bit of an endurance/prep phase at the min. This week looks to be pretty rough but comes down thereafter. Missing the heavier stuff a bit, so I'm looking forward to the next few weeks.

I feel your pain mate. I just finished a similar phase last week. Although I done alot less lifting, only strength work.

Weirdly my back is fine Andy. For some reason it smashed my glutes (LOL!). Well, maybe more mid-back and glutes I'd say.

Cheers Jeff, really appreciate that! Especially from someone who has lifted weights like you mate. I just love training (sometimes). Also wish I discovered weightlifting before I hit my 30s and was fooked.
