Most people been keeping up to date through the Facebook page, but just wanted to give an update on Sugden re the plans etc. The comp will take place again on Victoria square, Bolton town centre on Saturday 28th July (the morning after the olympic opening ceremony in London..),.. massive crowd expected as before. We've split the day simply into a 'heavy novice' and an 'open' comp (NO u105 etc, we have'nt got the time to fit it all in.) 10 lads in EACH comp. ( we can't have anymore due to a time restriction on the town hall square.) 5 places for the 'open' are being saved for BOLTON ONLY the rest will be by invite from the shed load of mails we've already had asking to enter. NO more requests please. : ) The 'heavy novice' comp is wide open however, I'd prefer Bolton or nearby, but really not bothered where you're from if the interest doesn't come locally. We ask those interested to mail us at strongmanbolton@hotmail.co.uk .. the novice places are going fast. We will e mail an application form to you and once returned with entry fee, you're in. Strictly first come first serve. EVENTS as follows. 'Heavy' Novice 1) Axle clean and press, 110kg, 90secs, max reps. 2) Giant Farmers, 40 mtrs, drop & turn, 120kg(eachand). 3) Carry & Load, 100, 110 & 120kg sandbags. 'OPEN' 1) Axle clean and press, 130kg, 90 secs, max reps. 2) Giant Farmers, 40mtrs, drop & turn, 140kg(eachand). 3) Carry & Load, 110, 120, 130 + 140kg sandbags. 4) Bus Pull.
