if i competed in my divisional in the 145's, then was invited to the brits and was 124.something, would i be able to lift or not? im sure i read somewhere you cant go down weightclasses at brits, but you can go up?

You can go down but not up, reason being you haven't done the qualifying total for the lighter class at the lighter weight. But if you have done the heavier qualifying total at the lighter weight, you can go up. Does that make sense?

so say the qualifying total was 520 for 125 and 540 for 145 and i lifted 550 at 125, it wouldnt matter if i liftd in 125 or 145

Yes, as I understand it, that's right. Same as BWLA, btw.

I always presumed this too. But there was a lifter who was in the 100's at the brits full power and the nineties for the worlds fullpowerConfused

The worlds are different. You don't have to qualify, just be nominated by your country (we nominate top three, others are different) so because you don't qualify for a particular class you're not tied to one and can move up or down. That's how BWLA/IPF do it and I think drug free is the same.

I'm going to lobby BWLA to introduce an obese category, otherwise I fear we'll never see Carl and Hayden's true potential.

well i think i should loose a coule of kg to make sre i get in the 125's for the divisional, then if i do decide to loose some weight, i can, cus it would be a kick in the balls if i lost 2-3kg, and couldnt compete cus i was too skinny
