Was an exciting finish, I must say I wish z's last rep was a little better on db. I know he'd have locked it out but some will say it was soft. Anyway he totally deserved the win and all credit to him

Pretty strange situation at the end . Need 4 reps to win ? WTF ?
Z won 3 events with some serious advantage over Shaw. Man he made 2 more reps on the log , lifted 30 pounds more on deadlift and made Yoke almost double faster than Shaw .... and at the end almost lost . Not fair for Z . 2 points is not the real difference between Z and Shaw in strenght measurement . Just because there is nobody close to them . Shaw has made dramatic improvements and is the second best , but for me he's still far from Z .

Terry , Shaw second lift on db was way softer , he was walking all the time .

Whats wrong with having a favorite Strongman, just because of that we are in love with the athlete? lol having a favorite player in soocer its a normal thing dont see the problem of having one in strongman. Big Z the KING!!!!!

I have no problem with that but some of comments are really odd and always bias. Shaw (and the others) deserve respect also. All of them are phenominal competitors.

Shaw managed to step up his overhead strength alot wasnt expecting that, now we can say that he doesnt have a weakness. pressing 200 kg log 2 times and 4 reps with a 125 kg BD thats insane!!!
But whem it comes to Big Z i admit im a fan boy cant hide it lol and my nickname says it all

U don't get it mate . After WSM this year many people wrote Z off . And Shaw was claimed to be the future of strongmen and being untouchable . I respect Shaw , he has improved a lot . How many people believed in Z. Not many .
And what's wrong to have a favourite strongman ....f**kin retard .

$65,000 for Z must feel pretty good, shaw only gets $20,000 though big drop for only one rep difference!
