 a cynical old scrote Member 68, 6911 posts SQ 255, BP 132.5, DL 250637.5 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | Post Edited: 04.09.2008 @ 07:56 AM by Wigan The next Adlington Competition has been announced with a provisional date of Saturday 25th OctoberAdlington Press and Bench Lift 1: Clean and Press Rules: Bar to be taken from the floor to the shoulders in one movement (ie no continental cleans) and then pressed to arms length with no assistance from the legs. Lift 2: Bench Press Rules: Usual bench press rules apply. The use of equipment (ie bench-shirts) is not allowed. Each lifter will be allowed three attempts clean and press and three on the bench, fourth attempts will be allowed but will be outside the competition. A points system will be in place to establish placings. No weigh in. No entry fee. Turn up and have a go. The competition has been logged in the Competition database so please register if you want to lift!! | ||

You just lie down and push weights away from yourself. might enter with a narrow grip bench... how this fits to The Plan of not missing any lifts for a while, i dont know. | ||

Has he changed his mind? (I'm not asking for myself as I can power clean far more than I can strict press, just for other people who may be put off by having to power clean the weight, when continentals may be allowed)? Cheers Whenever we have discussed it he had always agreed that it should be a strict clean no continentals, but i'll have a word with him and see what he thinks. Personally i think it should be no continentals but the final decision is obviously with Al. | ||
