Last heavy one before Saturday. Following last Mondays miss with 172 and Fridays dire misses with 160 cleans I was looking for a confidence builder. Clean slate, new night. WIGAN's already warming and prowling, Alan has a hungry eye. In the words of Fast Eddie Felson "We'll play this one fast and loose"
C&J
warm up
bar x lots
50x1x8
90x1x3
110x1
130x1
150x1
170x1
Now that may not look like much, but it's a -6K PB and it was quite possibly one of the best C&J's technically that I have ever done, and I've done some. For those who know Alan he gave me a 10 out of 10, and apparently was on his feet clapping whilst I was still in my split, all of which made me v happy.
"Can I do a 177 PB Alan?"
"No"
"You want me to do that again?"
"No. Jeff do a drop down"
"Can I do a drop down Alan?"
"No"
Front sqt
100x3
140x1
180x1
180x1
had to get out of the gym at this point as I was just so wired in to lifting. I cant remember being this ready for a long, long time.
Again, may not look much, but typical warm down training. Saturdays attempts were discussed and Alan has stated the build up should go
110
130
150
167.5
177.5 (PB & club record)
182.5 (402lb)
The coach has coached, now the lifter has to lift

170 overhead is f**king ace. 400lbs would be even f**king acer.
Good luck with the club record on Saturday mate.

Saturday will be the day. Alan's done his bit, now it's down to you to prove it on the platform!! You will do it. The 170 tonight was probably the best lift i've seen you do, and i've seen you do a lot. Alan's standing ovation mid-lift and the 10 out 10 score says it all. You are ready!!!!Vid of some of the lifts tonight, sadly the 170 is missing 'cos the f**kin battery went...

Jumping under 400lb is one thing. Arguing with Alan is another.
Just because I'm unintelligent doesnt make me stupid
