Looked very strong today mate! Very strong indeed!
adillon10
It's been a combination externally rotating my femurs and spine crunching box squats

I'm snatching like a tit at the moment...

Snatch

Up to 78
3 x 3 with some s**te fails
80 x 2 easy enough, the lighter fails are so frustrating

Jerks

80 x 5
90 x 3
90 x 3
85 x 4 meh

Front squats

Up to 107
107 x 5
107 x 5
107 x 5 these are beast, well happy!

100 x 3
100 x 3
100 x 3

Push Jerks

90 x 3
80 x 3 my overhead is frustrating me so much

Back squat

Up to 135
135 x 3
135 x 3
135 x 3 happy with these, 140 next week I think

Didn't manage one this weekend, trained like s**t on Friday night but had my BWL2 again.

At least I'm now a Level Two Head Club Coach Happy buzzing!

Training like a tit again, I can't snatch to save my life atm in the lead up to a comp AGAIN! A lot of inflammation on my left wrist it absolutely kills when I catch and drop a snatch. Think I need to rest it a bit.

Anyway did some doubles at 80, also missed a fair few. Well annoyed.

Jerk

Up to 90
90 x 3
90 x 3
90 x questionable 3, were s**te basically

Front squat

Up to 110
110 x 3
110 x 3
110 x 3 a small consolation these

Sounds like your in the dumps at the moment Alex Unhappy

Stick at it, you know it will return! Watch those vids of you doing 90+ and how easy it looks!

Bad news about the wrist mate(I feel your pain on so many levels) may be an idea to focus on strength for a little bit until it calms down? Or at least minimize exercises that exacerbate it? Do you wrap your wrists at all? As someone who is a walking laundry list of injury issues, when niggles and problems come along just see it as an opportunity to focus on something that does not make things worse.

Also, you got a really good snatch pull mate (especially for someone self taught) I don't think it will go anywhere if you do let it rest a bit.

Cheers guys, Andy that's what is so frustrating. I can go from one week absolutely feeling great and making all kindzzzzzz to the next and I can't snatch below 80%. I'm pretty sure I failed a warm up snatch tonight too.

Dave, I hear you mate! You're absolutely right, I don't wrap my wrists but did use straps almost exclusively and it seems to be that since I have stopped to get used to not using them for a comp it has killed me. The pulling is fine, it hurt the most when I drop the snatch in front which is really strange.

Also, it didn't really hurt yesterday in the mock comp haha? Maybe it was the adrenaline.

Ha, yeah maybe. Get some writs supports and see how that feels. Makes a world of difference to me. I would not be able to go anywhere near a bar without getting securing them in some way.

I'll give it a go mate, I think I'm done snatching for this week though. Pulls and squats for now. #gainz #bosh

I honestly think some direct arm work would help you a fair old bit. Your jerks weren't bad at all you fanny!

Is the pain just in your wrist? I used to get the worst pain ever when using straps but only when I let go of the bar to lower it. It was from my wrist all the way up my forearms. But only when I dropped the bar. I found that using wrist wraps helped A LOT!
