Very small fish in a big pond, started Olympic Weightlifting in the past few weeks and can't get enough. Hoping to crack a 180kg total and then onto the 200kg mark.

Try and avoid looking at my journal and videos. Rumour has it I can ruin someone's technique just by exposing them to my videos!

Hi mate,

Looking at your stats I'm sure you'll have some pearls of knowledge to pass on. Experience is everything I'm told!
Based at my old school on the Wirral, got shouted out for dropping too many weights in other gyms and there aren't many weightlifting clubs around me.

My only pearl of wisdom is don't hit yourself in the knackers when doing the snatch - it hurts!

Fortunately, or unfortunately, that t**t Gingy (who looks like he's already trying to groom you) is from round your way so he might know of a club. Drop him a PM.....just be careful what you write though! Grin

Only club round here is my club! And al Is a key holding member Happy this kid is going to do some big numbers Si, both of us need to watch out! Especially you Happy

Ps. We need to sort a road trip soon! I'll bring young al Happy we can tag team the grooming!

Good luck with the lifting mate. What is your club called. The only one I know of in that neck of the woods is (or was) Gwylm Parries place.

Yeah that and try and miss your chin with the bar when it comes up... didn't pay much to attention to that rule and more than once too! Learnt a lot from Gingy I'll give that to him however that's all I'll say incase his head explodes!
