Cheers guys, I'm hoping so... today wasn't the best!

I'm having trouble with training/lifting well Saturday mornings, I think I need to rethink my programme.....

Today

Snatch

Up to 80
Few doubles with fails involved
Singles at 80 with a few fails, just s**t

C&J

Up to 90
Same story
100 x f
100 x f
90 x 1 ish prety sure it was a fail

Front Squat

Up to 100
100 x 2
100 x 2
100 x 2

Hmm

77 x 3, failed at least one in all sets so far
77 x 3 all of them yeaahhhh boi

Jerks

Up to 90

90 x 3 little bit sketchy but improving at least

105 x 5 still hate front squats

Bicep curls
Lateral raises

Do you think Saturday was just a bad day at the office and nothing to be overly concerned with? I most definitely had one of those with my snatches today! Roll-Eyes

It could be mate... But it's enough to put me off, I'm just swapping the days around so I lift better Friday night and have a lighter/power day on Saturday!

It's all a learning curve anyway right?

Meant to be a heavy/max out session and I train Friday's around 4/5 o'clock and then 10am Saturday morning and just think I am not recovering well enough in time! May give it one more crack but will see what happens

Oh, f**k that! I max out/go heavy on Sat and I ha e Friday completely off and an 'easier' Thursday.

Pendlay has his lifters do the lifts on Friday to max and then use Saturday morning to get in more strength work.

Yeah mate that's how they trained at Cal Strength too and it's how I used to do it. Glad I found this out now though rather than 3/4 weeks in

80 x 3 trying to work on coordinating a full lockout, figured out some mobility issues as well

110 x 1 ooh feel good today...
115 x 1 PB woop, little soft on lockout but I'm giving myself a training make lol

Just clean now

120 x 1 PB boom
