Is that photo shopped?

f**king hell, it looks like he’s had those glasses on for weeks and his moon face has grown around them!!

What’s the latest in his Bell’s palsy? Is he still suffering?

I quite like this idea haha.

Mikeneto said:He says he is going for 520kg on the fourth attempt...but I don't think he will attempt it, just for hype. Will say he spoke to his team who he trusts etc etc

If he does this, and actually lifts beyond 501, it will do him the world of good and silence a lot of waffle and hate.

I also think, if he does lift what he says, Ed will be happy that he’s backed up his bull.

The first problem is that someone else at work knows about it, or at least knows you’re thinking about ‘borrowing’ said bike.

Secondly, is there CCTV in the area, and would you be seen removing the bike from the site when you’re intending to ‘borrow’ it.

Thirdly, does anyone know the bike is in terrible condition? Because if not, you could say you borrowed it to cycle home one day (If you don’t drive to work that is).

There is always a risk, but you need a solid backstory should you get get questioned down the line if your pal says something.

Superb lift, terrible social distancing.

My wife is also watching the daily updates religiously.

I find it strange that they cherry pick the questions and still can’t give clear answers.

Lockdown won’t be ended any time soon, and I fear when it does end, people are going to go wild with gay abandon and a big 2nd peak will wipe out lots more people.

nailed it.

I think Brian has done well with YouTube, and he’s a very likeable guy.

Mikeneto said:Thor will just pull 502kg later in the year anyway.

He will breeze this 501kg.

My thoughts exactly.

Yes. Okie deadlift bar. Slightly shorter than a Texas deadlift and rogue Ohio, and slightly less whip I believe

Does that offer any real advantage then?

Wayne_Cowdrey said:Maybe we shouldn't have strongman records, just titles.

I think this is the thing, people will always question a record... Especially as strongman is still a sport with no official governing body etc.

However, it has certainly improved in the last 10 years.

danbaseley said:I read today, that Hall used his own bar to attempt the 500kg.

Is this correct?

I’ve seen the same guy making comments everywhere about Ed using his own home baked bar...

From what I understand, it was a calibrated deadlift bar. So I’m not sure what the definition of home cooked or baked is regarding?

Seems the person is suggesting the bar was dodgy and gave Ed an advantage?

Plus promotion of course.

Very sensible.

Something to train towards, a bit of fun and a new challenge too.

Brian Shaw posted a good answer to it all in his video on YouTube.
