Tony said: I am but beer is drunk by flat capped yorkshire farmers and nearly dead people. If I must then I would drink larger and even that tastes like acid. I struggle to drink lager these days. Just tastes like fizzy pisswater to me. I think you'd be surprised at how pallatable some Belgian/Dutch micro-brews are. A world apart from the filth you describe. They are also very strong and are designed to be sipped like a fine wine.

Doc_D said:A large variety of Bavarian wheat beer (Weizenbier, Weissbier). Discovering this was a true revelation. Both light (helles) and dark (dunkles) are excellent. In the UK, various supermarkets carry Franziskaner and Erdinger; although not Bavarian, Grolsch do a great Weizenbier as well. In southern Germany, just order any Weizen on the menu and enjoy. There are thousands of breweries, and all with their own merits. I drink for taste, but if inebriation were one's goal, bear in mind that a 500ml bottle of Oettinger Weizen (not the best, but drinkable) will set you back less than 30p from the supermarket. The other brands noted above are about 1/3 of the price in the UK. I had a Schneider Weisse Tap5 (dopplebock) last night (amongst other fine beers). 8.2% & heavily green hopped. £3 a bottle but a terrific brew.

Boar said:hi mate !! thats one heck of a 'leg day' !! i tend to just do squats , calf raises seem pointless to me as they see to do what they want anyway !! thanks pal. Calf raises are useful for stone-loading. I'm absolutely convinced of that.

» Deficit Deadlifts? (Go to post) | 23-07-2010 @ 20:15
I sometimes do stiff-legged deadlifts to hit my hamstrings after a solid squat session. The platform is about 4" high. They damn near take my life every time. HORRIBLE. |
