Yeah, decided to strip it back to basics with a slow consistent build up as I'm trying to keep my bodyweight at 90kg at the same time. Few months ago I was about 94/95kg and fighting to loose it every comp I done which resulted in feeling terrible on the day.

Feeling pretty good so far, miss my cheesecakes and beer but feeling fitter and leaner and the strength is coming. See where the 5 x 5 takes me and I'll start using a belt etc when I start missing reps.

last sets I could only manage 2 reps which were grinders! Core don't let go, legs did. I'll add a belt next time out anyway and repeat the weight.

Managed to get the reps on the squats today without using the belt, putting the misses last session down to fatigue in the legs.

Added belt today to squats and overhead press. Felt strange as I haven't used a belt in a while. Would be happy to get to 160 5x5 squats. Surprised I got this far before wanting to use a belt.

Warmed up with tyre flips, worked upto the 315 tyre for 6 reps

Axle FTOH

Worked upto 100kg then failed to lockout the 110kg. Backed off and done 90 x 3 and 80 x 5
