That's the first time I've seen any oly lifts done with chains or bands.

I can't really see the point.

Yeah, me too - that's mostly why I posted it. Would be interested in commentary from the oly people here as to what, if anything, that might bring.

I can definitely see why you might want to use bands and chains. But im just not sure of their applicability to the classic lifts. For assistance stuff definitely (fronts, backs etc), I also think that they could be very helpful on things like hang high pulls to teach you to finish the pull.

Danny John has said on several occasions that he wishes he'd been doing fronts with chains all his lifting career. And a guy who posts on the P+B got his power jerk upto 400lbs by using bands pretty much every workout. The one thing you will have to be to get under a bar with bands on it is FAST, really f**king fast.

The vertical jumps at the start are pretty impressive. He ain't no small guy. Talk about explosive power!
