Hey i posted my goals for 2006 on veganfitness and this is what i wrote:

My goals are:

squat 215kg
Bench 140kg
deadlift 250kg

needless to say i am going to miss them all Grin But not too bad:

Squat:
Goal 215kg
Current 212.5kg

just missed that by 2.5kg, a result.

bench:
goal 140
current 130

Difference is 10kg, but i am planning to still squeeze a PB on bench this year. Anyways, not far off and i could have nailed 140kg if everything would have gone right.

deadlift
goal 250
current 227.5

difference 22.5kg, miles off! What was i thinking!

My goals focused around a couple of things:

Benching 300lbs in Comp
Doing myself justics at the NW UnEq in April
Deadlifting 600lbs
Putting 300lbs overhead.

The first two I did no problem. Im still planning on having a go at the deadlift before the end of the year or just after. The overhead? Not a chance. Im doing btn jerks for a while to try and get more explosive but I think I'll get somewhere close by Easter. It'll be a jerk that gets me there rather than a push-press, thats for sure.

I didnt really have any goals till a couple of months ago, when i wanted a 455kg/1000lb total. I thought that was very optimistic but now im pretty sure i will get that soon.

More recently i wanted these by the end of the year:
150 SQ
90 BP
230 DL

I've got the squat, i may get the bench (touch and go) at a push, and i still want the 230 deadlift! We'll see!

Well I'd just had shoulder surgery at the start of the year, so my goals were just to get back to where I was really (which wasn't very far I might hasten to add!).

After that I made the goals of a 160 deadlift and a 120 squat by July, but didn't manage either because I couldn't do lower body work properly from mid April to early August. Managed them both (and a lot more) within weeks of starting again though.

Next year should be good, I'm looking forward to setting myself a lot of different challenges.

oh i forgot the overhead press goal! My goal was to get my bodyweight overhead but thats not going to happen. Need to get that nailed soon though just for reasons of self respect!

Mine were: 75 kg squat, 47.5 kg bench, 125 kg dead

Chances by the end of the year are

47.5 kg bench LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL i'll be really f**king happy if i can nail 45 kg by the end of the year though, and i still think its a possible, depending on how quickly i get over this bug. 100/1

75 kg squat - very unlikely - but 70 kg could potentially be a goal for the very end of the year or the beginning of 2007. Got 65 at the moment though Happy chances = 50/1

125 kg deadlift - was highly likely until my training went all wrong and i got sick Tongue - seriously, this is the one goal which is still has some potential, i'll max out before the end of the year for sure, as long as i can get well pretty damn soon. 4/1 Happy

I didn't really set powerlifting goals at the start of the year since I was not in any sense powerlifting. What I wanted to do were:
(1) bench 100x10. Achieved.
(2) "get stronger". Definitely achieved.
(3) get in better shape, visually. People who see me intermittently and so notice differences, including known harsh critics, reckon I have done so, though of course there's still a f**k of a way to go.

My major powerlifting goals were first get 1000lbs (done), then get 500kg (just missed, and I will miss this this year).

I'm thinking hard about what I want to set as goals for the new year. The only that's sure was the biggest goal of this year too: "enjoy my training". I've definitely done that, and (beware: momentary gayness) you bas***ds have really made that happen.
