I can see why people moan about the moaning, however this is a discussion forum, its inevitable that people are going to disagree at times. The art to surviving Sugden is to not take anything personally. In many ways it would be nice to just turn up and compete, it would certainly be a lot easier for the organisers that way. But a national title that leads to a qualification spot for worlds should not simply be left up to a single person to run, without the opportunity for those involved to express their opinions. I think most will agree that the new selection criteria Marc posted is a better balance and more likely to ensure the top guys compete at the UK's, this was a direct result of my comments (moaning in some peoples eyes). This is just one small example of how Sugden and the internet has improved the standard of competitions over the last few years. To summarise, the ability for everyone to express their opinions is good and should be encouraged. Most (not all) manage to do so in a constructive and sensible manner. Back on topic: Shane for top 3 and a spot at UKs! | ||
