Saturdday 25th Aug.. 9am start.Only a quick session today.. Training at a new club now, so just did some doubles on Snatch and Clean and Jerk so the head coach at the club could see where im upto with my comeback..
The coach has known me for many years through my school boy days and hes very impressed at how quick my form has comeback..
Unfortunatly it was a bit of a rushed session due to work so no vids

All snatches felt nice and fluent through out the session. Flexibility in my shoulders seem to be improving dramatiacelly aswell..

Ive done singles for a few weeks now on most of the movements, so i thought id stat getting some volume work done.. still got 12 weeks of prep ready for my first comp back..

Ive been looking at the British records for U-23s and at 105kg they are 145 Snatch and 175 Clean and Jerk.. If all goes well, i should be on form to break the Clean and jerk record at the Northern Champs in November..

Cheers mate.. Ye, its a top place to train. Its purely just a weightlifting club based at a school not far from mine.. Great atmosphere for lifting!

Thanks Joni, definatly feel confidant il break the clean and jerk record.. not too sure about the snatch this november.. But il be 23 next year so im not sure if i still fall in the u-23 catagory.. will have to find out.

If you are 23 or under on January 1st of that calendar year then you can compete in u23 competitions for that calendar year.So if your birthday is December 30th, and you are 23 on Dec 30th 2013, you can't compete in u23 in 2014.
If your birthday is January 1st and you turn 23 on Jan 1st 2014, you can compete in u23 championships for another 364 days of 2014.
