your total aim when eating should be to pack as many calories into each bite.

Theres some bulking tricks that prob are frowned upon by some people like. take a shot (35ml) of Extra virgin olive oil with every meal... doesnt taste too bad and adds 300 calories. easy. 5 times a day and you have 1500 extra calories which is taking up no space and not making you feel full.

Budget eating is easy once you get into it . I tend to eat a lot of eggs and porridge for the morning,i find making food for an extra person at night and heating that up for a meal the next day really easy
.Mince is cheap ,chicken with the whoops stickers at asda is good to bulk buy, tinned pilchards and mackrel and cheap tuna and corned beef.
Full fat milk and cheap tubs of ice cream to add to shakes, lots of beans and ham slices, cottage cheese ,.bannanas . Adding grated cheese to everything ups the calories aswell.
Spuds are easy to fill for cheap, noodles and pasta are also dirt cheap.

To be honest, I'd disagree with doing this quite strongly. Anyone can increase their calorie intake, but increasing it in a sensible manner that leads to the majority of weight gain being muscle is generally a better option.

1500kcals a day from oil, presuming that someone was in a calorie balance is going to add 3lbs of fat to them every week! I can't really see any justification in that.

Maybe I'm just one of the frowning ones! Unhappy

i see your point. do you think the 4 litres of milk a day is a bad idea too? ive had ppl say it will just make me fat, yet others say its ok protein, and the added weight is not mainly fat but water retnetion from the dairy mucus build up (or sumin like that?!) or is this in the same boat as the olive oil?

if i could drink protein shakes id have one in between each meal, but as of the last few months, once ive had a protein shake 20 mins later i feel like im gona yak and then that puts me off eating.

is that an actual fact? I'm not so sure it's that simple, but I could well be wrong.

Oversimplification - 1500cals a day for a week is about 3lbs of fat. But whether it makes the consumer 3lbs fatter is debateable.
