Very interested in this in the novice, just need to find out about travel, are straps allowed on the silver dollar deadlift? Is the log cleaned every rep and is tacky allowed on stones?

with the novice comp....it will be a full clean with every rep on log....no suits for the deadlift in both comps....tacky will be allowed with the stones....gibby the promoter hasn't fully decided about whether straps will be allowed on deadlifts so can't answer that properly yet...I myself would be infavour of them tho....
Also the stone heights not confirmed yet...should be confirmed aftr the weekend now

Hi Guys, straps to be allowed on the silver dollar deadlift in both classes, so we can see some big weight shifted. As regards the height for loading the stones, that will be decided this weekend. Also, if you can't get hold of me on my mobile 07875579122, then contact my colleague Anthony Collins on 07581335969.
So far, an unbelievable response and great feedback. We've filled 8 slots in each class so far, so don't leave it too late and end up disappointed. Get your entries and postal orders in as soon as you can. I will provisionally save you a slot with an e-mail confirmation, but I need your entry fee in to guarantee your place. Those who have paid will have priority.
I've been up to the venue today to have a good look around and it is an ideal location, 60m long by 40m wide and I'm told it has great accoustics for the crowds to cheer you all on!
The loading event in the opens will be finalised soon. I have some great ideas on Celtic themed items, but need to trial them all out first to make sure they are suitable.
Cheers, Gibby
