Make it worse on yoke nnhaving it way to high n then 400kg dead I actually lock up n can't move. End up on stretcher with gas n air lol. On way ti hosp lower back destroyed in agony. 7 hours in the freezing cold n had only done 3 events. Not my day. Rich smith had nasty fall with 170kg log. Few other injuries. Edd n Si n Ross all looked strong n goid. I'm gutted | ||

Really pleased how it went, some great competitors in both the novices and the opens and met some really great people today. Thankyou to everyone that travelled long distances to compete and spectate. Also a great big thankyou to Daniella Scozzi for a fantastic display and raising the profile of strongwomen. We've had an awesome day guys, weeks and weeks of hard work has finally payed off and we calculated that just over 600 people came through the doors throughout the day, which we're over the moon about. We'll learn from our mistakes today for future comps and there are a few things we'd definately do differently next time. Please feel free to give me feedback from today, good or bad, so we can make the next event even better and most definately warmer!!! Cheers Gibby | ||

Peeing me off cos I feel realy strong but getting out of breath stupidly quickly and then having coughing fits! Felt like a t**t messaging Alex last night but realy thought I could recover in time so left it till last minute , took the wife to talk some sense into me and now glad she did Well done to everyone competing today and especially Alex for putting this on , getting 600 people to a strongman event is no mean feat and it makes you wonder how big next years will be! Off to cwtch my quilt now and feel sorry for myself  | ||

It was a long day of lifting and hard to get warmed up properly due to the cold. It was great to compete in a comp with such a strong lineup and congratulations to all the competitors as it was a tough day of lifting. I wish Rich Smith and Big Gray speedy recoveries and hope they'll be back to form as soon as possible and will look forward to competing against them both again this season. I'm bitterly disappointed today to have not performed in the last two events as I knew I could and after sitting in 5th place going into the last 2 events I successfully managed to make a complete hash of both of them and really suffered points wise. I'll be very interested to see all the event placings and final points when they are uploaded on to this thread just to see how all the lads did. Congratulations to Ed Hall on the win and to Si and Mike for 2nd and 3rd places. A hard day but great fun. Just need to train harder and ensure I don't f**k up the last two events quite so badly next time!!! | ||
