my shoulders been getting progressively worse. not sure what has caused it. doesn't hurt at all when pressing but i now can literally not move my arm out sidewards. i'm thinking it maybe a trapped nerve or something.

any1 else had similiar problems or know what it could be?

I suffer from a similar problem and also get numbness and pins and needles down my left arm, been to the doctor and been told that it's a trapped nerve in my neck caused by years of abusing it in scrums at rugby. He's also said that there's not a whole lot he can do for it other than just leave it and hope it gets better, been advised to see if a chiropractor can do anything for it. Hope this helps.

I had shoulder trouble for a year, bought the book '7 minute rotator cuff solution' and now it seems to have cleared up. Basically they say the pecs are always tight and the rotator cuff always weak, the rear delts are included as they help the rotator cuff with external rotation. Some peoples pecs are unbelievably tight. If you can't raise your arm out to the side it sounds like impingement of the greater tubicle and the acromion/ligaments, probably due to weak rotator cuff and/or inflammation of shoulder bursa and tendons. Stretch the pecs and strengthen the cuff and rear delts, and be careful with exercise selection.

sounds good, now just need to find how to strengthen the rotator cuff. some1 from the gym said something about the tight pecs worth a go anyway. thanks

Second this! It worked for me for the same problem. It still comes back now and again but its an easy fix every time.
