Sunday December 4th is the 2011 NW Powerlifting championships being held at Intershape Gym in Colne. This is usually the big event on the NW calendar and as usual guest lifters from other gbpf regions are welcome as well as new members/first timers. Most of the NW contests this year have been a little down on numbers compared to previous years so I'm hoping that we will have a good turnout for the finale. Weigh in is 9-10.30 and lifting starts at 11 and the entry fee is £10. Admission is free for spectators.
Contact me at bevans5088@aol.com for entry forms/information

The contest is normal IPF rules so some will be wearing support equipment but not everybody as support gear is optional.

I enjoyed this competition when I made the trip over last year. Might get an entry in and try and use this as my first comp back from injury.

A few entries started to come in now, get them in soon if you want to lift. Going to do a new design of t-shirt for this contest at £10 each, let me know if you'd like to pre order one.

I still can't hold a bar to squat so I won't be there this year, well not to lift, I will be very surprised if I am not there in some capacity.

I will have a t shirt as well. Fat size if you don't mindGrin

For those joining the GBPF for the first time then their membership will run until the end of 2012 if they join in time for the NW champs.

OK cheers. Shame they dont do a single day membership like other feds, as £50 is a large sum to compete

No tested fed would/should ever do this as lifters would in effect be able to opt out of out of competition testing.

I dont want to start a debate on testing Martin, but no-one was tested at the British Seniors, so I cant really see how thats all that relevant....
