Right then. Have been reading everyone else’s journals with awe and amusement, and because I don’t keep a personal training diary I think I’ll try and keep a record of my physical activities here.

I never know what type of athlete I am and sometimes my training will revolve around throwing events , sometimes rugby and if you’re lucky you might get some of my new found strength and strongman training/competition results thrown into the mix. I’ll probably include interesting anecdotes of shopping trips and the excitement of farmers walking cases of beer around the store.

There will be good times, bad times but where ever possible fun times.

I’m currently training with the legends that are Glen “Pocket Rocket” Kerr & John “I never have a rest day” Rudgard. Also in the squad is Mark Clegg approved “king of stones” Damian “log lift” Larrington and Big Pete “Dead lift is my thing”. Good bunch of lads who are both motivating and entertaining.

I’ve competed once at strongman so far at U80kg which was great!!!
Had to get down from 92KG to make weight. Not so great!!

So here we go...............

Nice PB mate, what are the bodyweight plans then? Hover around 83kg in hope of more u80kg comps or move on up to 90kg?

Thanks for that. Have only been lifting hard for less than 6 months so am well pleased with results.

I'm comfortable around this weight and still have a bit of excess if an u80kg comes up. The lower BW has also helped my throwing, making me a bit more dinamic in the circle.

That's me. Better looking and very much older little bros. Loving this strongman stuff.

Thanks Will. Only shifted 250 previous week in slow motion. This week 250 then 260 flew up. Thought about trying to clean it as it came up so quick. LOL. Did the 265 and left a bit in the tank for another day.
