Bench Comps are the only strength competition that are relevant.

I'm getting lots of emails/PMs from people asking about lifting at the Juniors - so promising for a good comp. Come on you benchers ....

For all the newbies - don't get your Scottish Powerlifting memberships sorted just yet. We are deciding on a low cost membership for this comp as its at the end of the year. Particularly we'll be making very cheap for those who have never been a member before - sort of "come and try powerlifting". The comp entry fee will remain. I hope to get details announced in a day or two.

To encourage new lifters and to recognise that the membership year is nearly finished, we are offering a reduced membership fee for all entries received with fees by the closing date, Friday 22nd October. Everybody will pay the standard £15 competition entry fee.

* For first time lifters in the Juniors (under-18s) or Bench-only, the membership fee will be waived and you will only need to pay the entry fee
* For first time lifters in Juniors (18 and over), membership fee will be £5
* For lifters who have been past members in either Juniors or Bench, membership fee will be £5

Entries received later than 22nd October will not be entitled to the above deal, but we will still offer membership at a much reduced rate of £10.

Haha, I'm really an irish man as my parents are from Northern Ireland. Got a partial bicep tear so don't fancy a full detachment but once it's healed I'll be back competing, Doctor was talking about operating which I'm trying to avoid Unhappy , I shouldn't have done the seniors as it has made the injury alot worse!

You silly prick talk to some polish lads sure they have some "protein shakes" that can help with bicep tears.
