theres anywhere between 5-10 lifters coming through from Edinburgh. all of them are theiving irish drunks from the sounds of it. funnily enough my dads from Enniskillen, mum from Antrim/Ballymena and I was born in the s**thole that is Larne before living in Enniskillen. I however own a bowler hat and a flute.

Ill bring some "man pills" for you. if you wear high heels that might force you to stay forward?

Nick - just to be clear - knee sleeves are not allowed. It has to be (approved) knee wraps or nothing. Falling forward with knee wraps is common for beginners - and you have to learn to sit back as you descend, and keep the weight over your heels (not toes). Tipping backwards is a bit odd, but try the opposite. It is best to try with thinner wraps, or put in a lot looser - as you get used to them you can tighten them up.

For a three-lift comp you need:
- leotard or super suit
- plain t-shirt for squat, bench shirt for bench
- socks, need to be knee length for deadlift
- underwear - boxer shorts not allowed
- shoes/boots
Optional:
- belt
- knee wraps
- wrist wraps

Yep - that's what I wrote.

If you want to borrow my leotard / long socks - let me know and I'll bring them.

Andy if you are applying IPF rules these do make a provision for knee sleeves not exceeding 30cm to be worn. See page 15 of the IPF rulebook

Many thanks Bryn for pointing my mistake out (we do work to IPF rules). All these years of looking at rule books and that bit of detail has never stuck in my head. You learn something new everyday.

So Nick - your knee sleeves will be ok.

Cheers,
