Going by what Andy has posted you shouldn't have to pay a membership fee as you're under 18 and a first time lifter, so your only cost will be the entry fee of £15.

Give it a go mate, you'll enjoy it!

Nick,

The Junior's Champs is for all Junior age groups - if you are U18 (i.e. aged 17 or younger or 1st Jan 2010) then membership is free, if you are U23 (i.e. aged 18-22 on 1st Jan 2010) then membership is £5. If you're doing bench-only it doesn't matter what age you are - membership is free.

This is just for people who have not been past members before - if you have been a member in previous years, then we are doing membership to end of 2010 for £5.

Hope you got your entry in before 22nd Oct to take advantage of these discounts. If not membership is a flat £10 for all cases - still a very good deal.

Haha, I'm really an irish man as my parents are from Northern Ireland. Got a partial bicep tear so don't fancy a full detachment but once it's healed I'll be back competing, Doctor was talking about operating which I'm trying to avoid Unhappy , I shouldn't have done the seniors as it has made the injury alot worse!

I didn't know that about you Stephen where about in Northern Ireland are they from originaly? I'm from Bangor, Co. Down originally.

Sorry to hear about your injury mate, how did you tear your bicep was it event stuff or powerlifting stuff that did it? Speedy recovery Happy

Hi Ross, my dad's from Antrim and my mum's from Ballymena, I was born in Zimbabwae in africa but have lived all over, even a few years in Ballymena. As you can imagine I used to have a funny mixed-up accent when I was younger but I've lived in Scotland too long now so now I sound 100% scottish. Happy

Know idea when/how I've done the bicep in as it's been giving me bother most of this year but I just thought it was tendonitis and just wrapped my arm up and just got on with training. Embarassed I've took a few weeks off training which has helped tons as it's not bothering me much at all so I've started very light training and will just build back up slowly untill the next injury haha! Grin I think the doctor was being abit too premature about needing an operation. Roll-Eyes

Nick just give the comp ago and treat it like a training session, you'll enjoy it!

Lol! Stephen, you still have an odd accent I think! Could never work out what kind of a mix it was Happy Sorry about the injury, sounds medium nasty!

Should be along to this comp, it's only 10 minutes from my house, and I got the application to go approved by the missus so no reason not to!

Looking like a good turn-out for this one - we are currently at 20 lifters for the whole days lifting. No names yet - hopefully I'll get them shortly. I won't be lifting, but should be around to help out any new lifters.
