I would like to see stones, but consective stones loaded on a decending platform... like it used to be. Non of the stones over the yoke s**t.

I've be lucky enough to have done both formats, for reps and consective vehicles. Both are very good in my book.. and looks great for the crowd.

do you reckon squat AND deadlift is ok in a comp? was thinking of putting some sort of squat in st.ives next year but I wouldnt want to drop the deadlift.

Yes, but not in a 5 event comp, would have to be six events or more
If 5 event, along with OH would favour statically strong guys over other essential parts of being a good strongman IMO

hmmmmm
i think
deadlift for max
tyre flip - farmers medley
squat for reps
Log/axle/viking
stones
would be a fairly decent, well rounded comp??

Not really IMO. Favours static strength to a too great extent. Obviously IMO
If 3 static, has to be 2 mobile events + stones IMO

No problem mate, I was talking more of a "well rounded" strongman comp

LOL at joni. I like it how you pick my weakest event to target me on! Vulture!
I would like to see more stones lie martin describes, more arm over arm, more max axle overhead, more circus db like matt said andorr hurcules hold with cool equipment like cars on ramps. Maybe even some more highland games type events like weight for height etc.
Top suggestion by Wayne too, (car) wheelbarrow walk is a cool event!

Duck walk is OK as part of a medley, but not on its own, in my opinion.
