TRaining day's are something we have been working on, a lot of training camps are out door's, cant rely on the weather etc.... Definately on the list.

training day idea would be cool but it would have to be with two pros that are very knowledgeable.

Lots of people throwing lots of monety around in this thread, I think its important to acknowledge that the people posting in here are massively into strongman and so clearly prepared to pay a lot, however, you might struggle to fill a crowd charging £20-30 a head. There just arent enough diehard fans to sustain those prices imo.

Also, the training days sounds like a great idea, but theres more chance of me out deadlifting Andy Bolton than paying £120-150 on a training day. Thats crazy money.

yea, mabie if it had a 'coaching' slant as lots of guys on here could/can hook up with some of the top names for a session

20 quid for a bonanza - mabie a couple of comps on the same day .... novices and u105's competing on the same 'playing field' as the open guys would garner massive interest , tony alone would attract an army of 50+ paying fans

Re the coaching days; only novice strongman and the hero worship brigade would pay for these IMO

decent level u90/u105 and open strongman would not pay much at all to be coached by a top level athlete. 5-15 notes maybe, not any more

I know Ronnie Coleman used to do a 4 day experience with him for approx £500 if I remember correctly. But for that you had dinner/lunch with him evey day, trated you like one of his 'yeah buddies' etc

what needs to happen is strongman needs to come under 1 umbrella it would make it so much easeir if every one head of uk amd elite strongmsn and others put there heads togetehr and made one big corporation.

people like uk strongman north have got it right. they dont do it for money they do ti for love of the sport and charity,

if people put ther own egos aide and put there thinking caps on and got together instead of thinkin of the ££££££ this country could be like america in the strongman sense,

to be honest i refuse to pay and watch strongman. firstly im a tight arse with my money and secondly this sport cost a lot to do anyway personally.

if some international guy would come to a comp i think it would be worth it to organise some kind of training seminar for extra income. if the price was 15-20 quid a head and held at some friendly supportive gym i bet it would be easy to get 20+ people attending.

misha is one of a kind though.

I would like to have a more interactive and participating kind of seminar.

It shouldn't matter if the Strongman is internationally famous or not. It's more about what you can learn and how you can be inspired than who you can get a photo with.
