Tuesday Bench

Didn't train yesterday - hospital, dog walk, recording studio and visit to my mother in the evening. So will probably only train bench twice this week. Also likely I'll miss a week or more in the next three weeks, so this was just about maintaining strength.

Completely ran out of energy after the second 120, which I had hoped would be a triple, and I have other stuff on today, so no time for 10/15 minute rests.

Still, pretty much manitaining strength levels on a day when everything was an effort.

Monday Bench

Nearly didn't train. Was a film extra in the morning, and as I was getting ready to train I fell asleep. Decided about 5 to give it a miss, then I gave myself a talking to and went out for a light session rather than nothing.

Time was up. The 125 was easy and without an out breath, and was pleased with the 115 x 4. Glad I managed something, especially after missing a session last week.

I was pretty much done after the 120 x 2, but managed to squeeze out 4 with 110. The 130 obviously took it out of me, but it's the third time I've done it recently, and this time managed it with no out breath. What will I do when I'm actually up for it...?

Saturday Bench

Missed yesterday waiting for a plumber who never showed, so a day late. Very similar session to Wednesday, but didn't fatigue as much and got the down sets in. It was my first ever day on insulin injections, so maybe my blood sugar was a wee bit lower than it has been. If so, long may it continue.

For completeness, today I trained up to an easy 110, but everything felt heavy in the hands and I just wasn't feeling it, so walked away to fight another day.

First session in two weeks, after one of those lingering colds that induces lethargy, plus a bit of life getting in the way. I'll start again properly on Monday, but I just wanted to dip my toe in the water today and check that 120 was still easy.

The plan was 5 sets, but set 4 was so hard I would have needed at least 10 minutes' rest before a fifth and I simply didn't have the time. So four sets it was. Everything was actually quite easy today, except that fourth set!

I didn't train Saturday. I watched both powerlifting sessions, and had my covid and flu boosters in between. Missed yesterday as it was a good day, and using the daylight to walk the dogs was the priority. So first session since last Thursday.
