So will probably only train bench twice this week. Also likely I'll miss a week or more in the next three weeks, so this was just about maintaining strength. Bar for 10 x 3 sets 50 for 8 60 for 6 70 for 5 80 for 4 90 for 3 100 for 2 110 for 2 120 for 1 125 for 1 - easy, but wasn't sure of the double 110 for 5 100 for 8 Finish Not brilliant, not terrible... | ||

Bar for 10 x 3 sets 50 for 8 60 for 6 70 for 5 80 for 4 90 for 3 100 for 2 110 for 2 120 for 2 130 for 1 - just, but it was never not going up 120 for 2 Finish Completely ran out of energy after the second 120, which I had hoped would be a triple, and I have other stuff on today, so no time for 10/15 minute rests. Still, pretty much manitaining strength levels on a day when everything was an effort. | ||

Decided about 5 to give it a miss, then I gave myself a talking to and went out for a light session rather than nothing. Bar for 10 x 3 sets 50 for 8 60 for 6 70 for 5 80 for 4 90 for 3 100 for 2 110 for 1 120 for 1 125 for 1 115 for 4 Finish Time was up. The 125 was easy and without an out breath, and was pleased with the 115 x 4. Glad I managed something, especially after missing a session last week. | ||

Planned to start about 3, but instead fell asleep in the chair and didn't get to train until 5.15. So, no expectations, just move some weight. Bar for 10 x 3 sets 50 for 8 60 for 6 70 for 5 80 for 4 90 for 3 100 for 2 110 for 1 120 for 1 130 for 1 120 for 2 110 for 4 Finish I was pretty much done after the 120 x 2, but managed to squeeze out 4 with 110. The 130 obviously took it out of me, but it's the third time I've done it recently, and this time managed it with no out breath. What will I do when I'm actually up for it...? | ||

Very similar session to Wednesday, but didn't fatigue as much and got the down sets in. It was my first ever day on insulin injections, so maybe my blood sugar was a wee bit lower than it has been. If so, long may it continue. Bar for 10 x 3 sets 50 for 8 60 for 6 70 for 5 80 for 4 90 for 3 100 for 2 110 for 1 120 for 1 130 for 1 120 for 2 110 for 4 100 for 6 90 for 10 Finish The target was 90 x 8, but squeezing out the extra 2 reps spared me doing 80. | ||

I'll start again properly on Monday, but I just wanted to dip my toe in the water today and check that 120 was still easy. Bar for 10 x 3 sets 50 for 8 60 for 6 70 for 5 80 for 4 90 for 3 100 for 2 110 for 1 120 for 1 110 for 3 100 for 5 Finish Always a relief to get the returning session done, 120 was pretty easy, don't seem to have lost that much. So four sets it was. Everything was actually quite easy today, except that fourth set! | ||

I watched both powerlifting sessions, and had my covid and flu boosters in between. Missed yesterday as it was a good day, and using the daylight to walk the dogs was the priority. So first session since last Thursday. Bar for 10 x 3 sets 50 for 8 60 for 6 70 for 5 80 for 4 90 for 3 100 for 2 112.5 for 1 122.5 for 1 - remarkably easy 107.5 for 4 x 5 sets - never right at my limit Finish Seems the rest didn't do me any harm. | ||
