Are they so common now they are not worth a mention?

20 years ago maybe a handful of guys could pull 400kg

Now a handful of guys can pull 460

Is 460 the new 400?

I'm pretty sure heinla is going for like 10 reps @ 400kg so I guessa single is old news these days

Not that I've managed to pull 300 yet

sadly I think amongst the freaks we see on youtube and the telly it has become commonplace , if I saw a random bloke at the gym do it though i'd be massively impressed! for most of us its an incomprehensible amount of weight to lift

The fact that I've done it means that it's s**t now.

I wonder how many natty 400 pullers there are. Can’t be many. Still an impressive number enhanced or not IMO, especially conventional & in a powerlifting context.

I very recently did my first 400 and it got a mention in my journal and my Instagram and not much else.

With so many people talking about 1000lbs and 500kg pulls 400 doesn't seem that special.

Though that is definitely just a side effect of social media. We see a lot of huge pulls yet I'd be surprised if more than 30 or so blokes in the uk can actually pull it.

Don't think it's that many tbh. Less than 20 I reckon

I ran a quick list and got 15 i think, but i don't follow powerlifting so i assume there's a dozen or so there getting it as well.

Nope it's harder and rarer in PL. Only current British lifter pulling that is Tom Martin.

According to many gear would be lucky to add 10%

So not impossible

15 sounds about right, it depresses me that I haven't pulled it yet

I’m gonna put my neck out there and say I don’t believe anyone has ever pulled 400kg raw and natty. I might be totally wrong, and it’s not based on me thinking it just can’t be done. Just looking at IPF records and how much strongman has progressed in last few years. Obv if people out there have then massive apologies to them, I’m not just being bitter I promise. I just don’t think it’s been done yet.

As for 400+kg deadlifts in UK, I’m guessing less than 20 too. I can only count 10 but there’s def a few I’m missing.

This was the 15 i could think of:

Bish
Tel
Fe
Tom S
Richardson
Hicks
Logan
Davies
Coils
Martin
O'dwyer
Page
Oldfield
Brunning
Bilton

I wasn't sure if Mcqueen or luke S had managed it?

The vid of mine (such as it is) can be seen on my Instagram - strongmankev
