old age traveller Member 332, 7865 posts | Are they so common now they are not worth a mention? 20 years ago maybe a handful of guys could pull 400kg Now a handful of guys can pull 460 Is 460 the new 400?

not particularly well educated Member 85, 10986 posts SQ 170, BP 130, DL 260560.0 kgs @ 90kgs UnEq | sadly I think amongst the freaks we see on youtube and the telly it has become commonplace , if I saw a random bloke at the gym do it though i'd be massively impressed! for most of us its an incomprehensible amount of weight to lift

woefully weak Member 4748, 1506 posts SQ 157, BP 133, DL 260550.0 kgs @ 104kgs UnEq | I wonder how many natty 400 pullers there are. Can’t be many. Still an impressive number enhanced or not IMO, especially conventional & in a powerlifting context.

Member 5141, 4199 posts SQ 300, BP 180, DL 350830.0 kgs @ 130kgs UnEq | I very recently did my first 400 and it got a mention in my journal and my Instagram and not much else. With so many people talking about 1000lbs and 500kg pulls 400 doesn't seem that special. Though that is definitely just a side effect of social media. We see a lot of huge pulls yet I'd be surprised if more than 30 or so blokes in the uk can actually pull it.

Nope it's harder and rarer in PL. Only current British lifter pulling that is Tom Martin.

I might be totally wrong, and it’s not based on me thinking it just can’t be done. Just looking at IPF records and how much strongman has progressed in last few years. Obv if people out there have then massive apologies to them, I’m not just being bitter I promise. I just don’t think it’s been done yet.As for 400+kg deadlifts in UK, I’m guessing less than 20 too. I can only count 10 but there’s def a few I’m missing.
