Lung function is only back to 80% but back to training. First week back 220kg triples were tough, last week I worked up to 300kg and today I did a fairly comfy 310kg. Going to push for a few months and try to get a 315kg double which should give me a 335kg max. Just need to be sensible and not push too hard while lungs heal.

It might make your normal deadlift weaker or it could improve it. All depends where you are weak. Wearing a suit will/could make the pull easier so in theory you could overload the movement...but if you've never worn one before it can take weeks to gets used too and some have to change the way they pull. Personally if you don't plan on wearing one for competitive reasons then don't. I get the best carry over from beltless, paused and block pulls.

Personally if you don't plan on wearing one for competitive reasons then don't. I get the best carry over from beltless, paused and block pulls. I tried it a long time ago, did nothing for me as I am fast from floor and slow at lockout. It also puts you into a slightly different position. If you are wanting to overload I found reverse bands brilliant, it feels the same as a normal dead and I get good carryover from it. Better than block pulls for me too as I am always in the same position as a floor pull. I also find paused deads, literally just off the floor very useful as it really enforces you to get lats set perfectly.

How many dead stop reps do you guys do with 300? Im assuming at least 5-6 reps for 340kg. https://www.instagram.com/p/BeBWYGQhAaZ/

Next deadlift cycle aiming for 300x5/6 should get me that 340kg!

'There was also a sausage in my mouth.' Member 2477, 16481 posts SQ 190, BP 130, DL 235555.0 kgs @ 83kgs UnEq | Do any of you use any particular upper back strengthening exercises? Recently I've been finding that my upper back is having a hard time holding the weight, particularly towards the lockout.
