No...he slightly tore it at arnolds...done a 550lb stone the day after...done that 432kg + bands x2 deaflift after. He is fine.

All these problems for others and still he has only one event he can expect to win.

Finally saw the videos of his training.
He looks uncomftably over weight and out of shape.

That said hes fooled me once and maybe hes hustling us all.

This is what I was thinking, hopefully he is just having us on and he is in better shape than he looks. I'm not really a fan of Hall but kinda want him to get his win so he can retire and lose weight. If he carries on the way he's going and at the weight he's at I'd be seriously worried about his health.

However, barring some sort of serious injury I don't see any way that Shaw will lose it this year, especially with thor looking in poor shape.

I'm not sure why everyone doubts him so much, especially after the way he pulled that deadlift. He said he'd do it and he did.
At britains he was a different class to anyone else, he looked in cruise control.
I believe there's a fair bit of gamesmanship going on, remember he didn't put many convincing vids of his deadlift on either.
I'm predicting a 2nd place finish for hall behind shaw. 3rd place is up for grabs especially with Thor filming in Belfast this week for game of thrones

Thats kinda where my comment of husstling us came from. theres no denying hall is strong as all fury but theres no denying he looks out of shape too.

But i dont put it past hall to have an ace up his sleeve and do some serious damage at the worlds.

I don't know why there's so much doubt with hall. He was 4th last year, certainly stronger this year and one of the men who beat him isn't in it. Surely he'll be 3rd at worst.

It's not a lack of strength that makes me doubt him. It's what looks to be a serious lack of fitness (as others have said this could be all gamesmanship and he's fitter than he's letting on) and kettlebell throw being in the final, an event that he has historically been pretty poor at and hasn't shown any signs of a drastic improvement in. Add to that the fact that Shaw is excellent at it as well as there being other excellent throwers like arsjo above him and I think he may well haemorrhage points on that event and lose a good few on the frame too.

It comes back to the fact that the strongest man isn't always the best strongman.

Edit

I do think he will be on the podium as you've said, I just don't see him challenging shaw for the win like others have said.

Where have you read that? He didn't mention he had a hamstring / calf injury in that vid he did with rich Piana but it hasn't seemed to be bothering him too much

Hall seems to be getting more into the preparation than ever before. He's got a grip coach, I don't believe if his grip was that bad he'd have left it until the last minute to get his services.
Kb he's undoubtedly gonna drop points on but others will drop points on other events. It wouldn't be the first time someone has a shocking event and still win

Granted his fitness looks poor, but we don't know at what point in his sessions his videos are.
I'm choosing to believe him when he says he's in great shape. Like I say, ed at britains looked phenomenonal and that wasn't that long ago
