woefully weak Member 4748, 1506 posts SQ 157, BP 133, DL 260550.0 kgs @ 104kgs UnEq | I'm a bit weaker than you other than on pressing, and I could do all of those events. Seems a bit of a push to call it "strongman" but it looks fun. You might no-rep the log, unless you spend some time training for it.

Help me rescue my Insulina. Member 5366, 1090 posts | The atlas stones, despite been very light for strongman, may surprise you if you've never lifted them before, purely in relation to the technique required to get them off the floor, unlike anything else, unless you are tall and have long limbs in which case you'll find it a lot easier. Only other thing which would concern me would be the log, again if you've never cleaned/pressed a log before 100kg is a bit hefty for a first ever attempt. Otherwise you should piss the other stuff

Avatar Member 5517, 1538 posts SQ 160, BP 165, DL 201526.0 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | ^^People are a bit grumpy on here sometimes. The local strongman club to me is kind of a garage gym. When he started getting equipment there was a hodgepodge of stuff just like this (I think the stones were 50, 60, 80, 120kg which was a fairly brutal jump for me!) You'll have fun and its great to support someone starting out. This competition/fun meet is probably a good way for him to advertise. Enjoy.

Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22057 posts | A 50kg Atlas stone must be tiny! macroth and dannyboy are not "grumpy". They are very pleasant gentlemen

(Also nice sly dig at Macroth and Dannyboy lol) Your mother's a sly dig! Everything else about the comp is geared towards novices/crossfitters or suitable for a range of abilities. If they only have the one, 100kg-empty log, then I guess they don't have a choice. If they're loading a lighter log to 100kg, I think it's an obvious mistake. A single overhead rep in the entire comp, at that weight, just doesn't fit with the rest of the events. Do you disagree? I'm not saying that's reason enough not to do the comp, it's just strange. By the way, the Rogue Pig is a $900 piece of equipment, so I'm not sure about the "garage gym" angle.

I thought a pig was a few railway sleepers bolted together with rope on the top for padding. Didn't realise it was a Rogue product. I wouldn't be able to get a 100kg log up so yes it seems heavy. I'd still have fun trying.
