So I've started a log on Sugden. Hopefully this becomes something great one day.

I've been training for the last 3 years: did Maximum Strength by Eric Cressey which got me interested in strength and then moved to Wendler's 5/3/1 which I've been hooked on for the last two years. Did my first powerlifting meet in Nov 2012 when I bombed after failing to listen to the bench commands... would have had a 440kg total at 71 bodyweight. Spent last year moving to 83s and not competing. First meet in the 83s on Dec 1.

Train Mon/Wed/Fri

So far this week...

Mon (18/11/13)

Decided to squat and deadlift up to my openers (and second deadlift attempt) for Dec 1.

Squat - warm up... 120x5; 135x3; 145x2; 155x1 (felt easy)
Deadlift - 150x3; 170x1; 185x1; 200x1; 210x1
Ab wheel - 3x20

Weds (20/11/13)

Bench - 70x5; 80x3; 85x3; 90x3; 95x1, 1... 90x3, 3, 4; 85x3
Dips - 5x10 with 20kg
DB rows - 4x12: 2x40, 2x42
Tricep pushdowns - 3x20

Sugden legend, Mr Smalls, trained with us today and helped me out before the meet.

Friday (22/11/13)

Squat (slowing descent and keeping upright) - 100x3; 120x3; 140x2, 2; 150x1, 1, 1; 160x1
Bench (all paused) - 70x3; 80x2; 90x1; 95x1... 60x2; 80x2; 85x2; 90x1; 92x1; 96x1
Deadlift - 120x3; 150x1; 180x1; 200x1; 205x1

Feeling good, a bit sluggish throughout the session though.

You're always sluggish. It's that ass you drag around.

Been training with Jack Revans of much sugden fame, apparently. Still new to this Sugden malarky. Will keep posting on here from now on. I, also train at Physical Culture Gymnasium in Putney, after Rob Rees suggested it. Thanks Rob, I have loved it since day 1.

Last time I did some heavy singles. Training has been going so much better in comparison to when I last did a heavy single - anyway, here's a vid (I used my formidable editing skills on) of my breaking 200kg and hitting 205kg at around 84-85kg bw.

Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNZ173wroI0

Haha! Yes, definitely! Our own little Sugden league Happy. I plan on updating more of my training on this for more people to see and critique as they wish.
