i dont see him beating arsjo/pritchett/radz

Possibly not, barrels rather than sacks not good for him and he could do a technique f**k up on kettlebell throw but also see him winning deadlift, conans (previously won this event at a giants live) and stones so especially if the 2 highest scoring losers go through again i think he has a good shot.

Norse hammer is like fingals finger!

Groups look pretty good to me, gonna be tough fro Felix though!

hixx has got his best chance yet of reaching final (i'll give him a shoeing if hes doesn't though!)!

My predictions:
Group 1: Shaw and Obesrt
Group 2: Thor and Mongo
Group 3: Z and Loz
Group 4: Arsjo and Radz
Gorup 5: Burke and Hall
2 runner up: Felix and Savatinov

Final: Z, Shaw, Thor, Burke, Hall/ Loz/ Hicks/ Arsjo, radz, felix

No, they always favour them towards some people and against others.

Otherwise known as seeding... What if they put Z, Thor, Shaw, Burke and Hall in the same group? People would love that...! Seeding makes sense.

Group 1

Shaw
Caron

Group 2

Thor
Hixxy

Group 3

Z
Loz

Group 4

Arsjo
Radz (although I think Felix has a great chance here)

Group 5

Burke
Hall

possibly being optimistic on the brit qualifiers and I think hixx and loz's groups will be a close run thing but ill give them the edge.

and I have the final coming out as..

Z
Shaw
Thor

I think who gets through to the final will have a big bearing on thors chances. if a couple of big log lifters and deadlifters get through they could knock his points down significantly in those events.

However it is not seeded properly.

Hall and Burke in the same group who are two of the top five returning athletes and then in another group the only 2014 finalist is Pritchett who finished 10th in the final.

I would enjoy this very much.

I expect that it will be between Thor, Shaw and Z in no particular order...Although Id like to see Thor win out of those 3.

This year Hall top 5 maybe?

I think the medium future may be Thor and Hall shaped.

actually looking at it closer, there are alot of guys in that '2nd tier' that could put a spanner in the works for him - oberst, hixx, savatinov, loz, felix, radz, hall could all potentially take points off him in log or deadlift or in hall's case, both. might be wrong but I cant see him troubling z or shaw too much this year myself.

I don't see thor losing as many points on deadlift as a lot of people seem to be suggesting. If it was for max I could see him hemorrhaging points but could at least stay in touching distance on reps.

I dont think he will be hammered on the deadlift but it would only take a couple of people to come between him and Z and Shaw on that, and then some the log and he has a lot of ground to make up. he will win his best events well but I cant see enough of the others coming in between him Z and shaw to make up the deficit.
