Been flat out at work recently so struggled getting training in but should be back to normal now.

Cheers mate. I sent you the vid, quality isnt great but you can see enough. Doing a push/pull charity comp at gym1 this saturday so hopefully get 190kg paused. Now the aim is to hit 200kg paused though.

Thanks Al. One of those goals iv wanted ever since starting at a gym and getting my first 100kg bench.

Got a few lads from Gym1 that should be competing a St Ives so im sure il be in attendance. Normally a well run comp aswell.

Wednesday 22nd October

Had to train tonight so I can be fresh as possible for the comp on Saturday. Learnt last week that I need more then 1 day rest between bench and shoulders so I wasn't expecting much.

Il probably do some legs on Friday then just go all out for the bench on Saturday. Been reading up a lot on olympic lifting recently and I'm thinking about trying to properly learn the lifts. As I'm unable to squat currently I'm going to work on the stretches to allow me to do the lifts correctly when I get the knee sorted. I can't see how learning these can hurt strongman training and will hopefully allow me to perfect technique and avoid injuries in the future.

Found it very heavy and awkward tonight. Definitely have a weakness in my back since the previous injury. Think I'm going to try the plan I used on my legs to get some big reps on the deadlift and hopefully build some muscle and overcome that weakness. Il start on 180kg next week.
